homemade solid deodorant

This famous deodorant has been on my WishList for a long, long time!

A super simple recipe with ingredients that we almost all have on hand.

Ingredients and steps to make homemade solid deodorant

    • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
    • 2 tablespoons baking soda
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon candelila wax

Melt the coconut oil and candelila wax in a bain-marie. The mixture must be WELL liquid. Add the powders and mix well to obtain a smooth preparation. Pour the mixture into a stick or a mould. Let take about twenty minutes. It's ready!
I made the choice not to use essential oils because they are not suitable for everyone. For the deodorant to keep its solid appearance, keep it in the fridge. At room temperature it softens a little and takes on the texture of a balm, which is just as effective.

The benefits of solid deodorant my way

Coconut oil has anti-bacterial properties. Bicarbonate is used for its anti-odor properties. Cornstarch absorbs sweat and candelila wax is used for texture and glide.

Precautions for preparing a homemade recipe

Disinfect utensils used for preparation. Always test products on a small area of the body.

To your food my little hummingbirds ;)

    • Retour O Naturel

      Salut @caroline,
