Detox hair shampoo: clarification

What is hair clarification?

Clarification is a hair detox. It cleans the hair in depth by removing the accumulation of products (silicones, sulphates...), residues (dust, pollution...) and purifying the scalp.

Sometimes hair smothers and needs a reset. After the clarification, the hair is more receptive to the care and routines provided. Hair becomes shinier, softer and regains volume. Clarification helps to space out shampoos and aerates the scalp.

Why make a clarification?

If you have the feeling that your hair is no longer receptive to care, that it is heavy, sticky, dull and without volume, it's time to reset the counters and go through the clarification box.

Hair detox is also done when you want to start on a good footing during your transition from a petrochemical routine to a natural one.

It is a treatment to be done every two months.

How to make a clarification?

There are two types of clarifications. Clarification with clay, either green or white. Green clay is cleansing and purifying for all hair types. As for the white clay, detoxifying and purifying, is more suitable for sensitive scalps.

Clarification with baking soda will open the hair cuticles. This technique is more stripping.

Clarification with clay:

Mix 3 tablespoons of clay with lukewarm water to obtain a paste that is neither too liquid nor too thick (spreadable paste consistency). Use a wooden spoon so as not to alter the active ingredients of the powders. Detangle your hair then spray it with water to facilitate the application and open the scales. Apply at the roots and stretch over the lengths. Massage the scalp and leave for thirty minutes then rinse with clean water. The shampoo afterwards is optional since the clay is cleansing. It acts by absorbing fats and impurities.

Apply a moisturizing mask ( recipe idea ) on lengths / ends and leave on for about twenty minutes under a care cap. Rinse with clear water.

Finish with an acid rinse to close the scales of the hair ( here ).

Clarification with baking soda:
Add a teaspoon of baking soda to a generous dose of your usual shampoo. Massage the scalp for a long time to loosen the roots. Rinse with clear water.

Apply a moisturizing mask (
